     We, Joe and Nancy Losee, are originally from upstate New York. We have been involved
in Christian ministry for over 35 years as pastors and teachers in various churches in both
the United States and on the foreign mission field in Scotland and England, South America,
Bahamas, Dominican Republic and Africa.

     We presently reside in Kitale, Kenya, East Africa, first coming to Kenya in the year 2000 to teach in a Pastors' Conference and then fill in as pastors for a church in Nairobi for six months.   We planted a local church in Kitale, after moving there in February 2002.

     After seeing the need for solid foundation teaching, we developed the Foundation Bible Course. This is a 10 month course based on the foundations mentioned in Hebrews 6:1-3. We have been effectively teaching this course to pastors and leaders throughout Kenya and Uganda. Because of the poor financial situation of the pastors here in Kenya, we found that it is more feasible to not have a stationary Bible school facility where the students would have to come and stay at their expense, but instead, to travel into the villages and teach the pastors and leaders of the churches in their village, using one of their church buildings. We travel there once each month and teach one lesson of the 10 lesson course for two days. We leave homework with them to do during the month until we return the next month to teach the next lesson. In this way, we are able to teach many pastors and leaders in many locations throughout each month at a minimal cost for them. And we are also able to reach into the interior areas where the pastors have never received any biblical teaching and training.   We read in Mark 6:6 that Jesus went about the villages in a circuit teaching. In the past 4 years of teaching in this "circuit style" we have had over 1200 students complete the Foundation Bible Course.

     In teaching and training these leaders we have been able to reproduce ourselves.   We now have 15 national teachers going throughout Kenya and one in Kampala, Uganda teaching the Foundation Bible Course, freeing us up to reach out into new areas in which to teach such as Southern Sudan.      We have been married for over 45 years and we are the parents of three lovely, grown
children and four precious grandchildren all residing in the USA.

     Our covering church and pastor is Pastor Mike Servello, Senior Pastor of Mt. Zion
Ministries (www.mzm.org), Utica, New York. We are also members of Ministers
Fellowship International (www.mfi-online.org).
